I have never seen the TV show but I have to say the show was entertaining. The talent was very impressive. I enjoyed the variety of the show, not just singing which was nice. I would have to say that I would see it again. Did not know about Jerry Springer but he is really good. Great show for families too!

I had the pleasure of watching “America’s Got Talent” last week on Thursday, October 22. The show is basically all the top finalist on the TV Series. It is a nice variety show, where you get to see the “stars” of the television series showcase their particular talent. While the show itself had a few small snafus to work out (this is the norm all new shows go through when they first open) it was a very enjoyable. One, it was interesting to see the infamous Jerry Springer. He is surprisingly warm and has a very funny, light-hearted and self deprecating humor. He is good at moving the show along. He makes fun of his “other show”, and you can not help but like the guy. The talent on the show ranged from opera singers/tenors, to a 75 year old grandma turned comedian. (we loved her the best!). Dancers, percussionist, contortionist….a little bit of something for everybody. All in all, it was a very nice, light-hearted, and enjoyable show. The main theme of the show is that the American Dream IS attainable for anybody and everybody. I thought this was a nice touch. I would recommend this show. Especially for those who are fans and followers of the TV series.

Showcasing acts that are just starting out might sound like a tough sell with all the seasoned performers dominating the over-the-top Las Vegas strip, but rest assured you really get your bang for the buck with America’s Got Talent, the newest variety show performing in the heart of the strip at Planet Hollywood’s new Peepshow Theater. The show has the feel of the hit TV show, with MC Jerry Springer introducing each act and their journey from the reality-talent competition to their journey to the big time, as a headline act performing on the strip in Vegas. Springer makes the audience comfortable, his years of TV and recent Broadway under his belt, he’s the perfect host, and Vegas really would benefit seeing more of him. If there’s any hope, maybe eventually they’ll bring the live show here for their “Vegas Week“ tapings? Even if they don’t, this show delivers everything its TV counterpart does, featuring the best and the brightest from the past season. A variety of singing acts from Lawrence Beaman to the Texas Tenors and eventual champion, country-crooner Kevin Skinner served up a heaping helping of entertainment, with a dollop of variety so there was something for everyone. There was a great duet from Phantom of the Opera sung by opera darling and runner-up from the TV show, Barbara Padilla with a member of the Texas Tenors. Kevin Skinner served up several songs, finishing the show with a stirring rendition of Sweet Home Alabama. Recycled Percussion’s beats kept the action moving along as octogenarian Grandma Lee’s cantankerous comedy stylings that had the crowd rolling in the aisles. It was refreshing to see a variety of such fresh new acts. Music, comedy, dance (a contortionist even!), plus the star power of Jerry Springer all made for a great value show, one that’s suitable for the entire family, too. The stories behind the performers’ journeys were also an interesting, pesonal touch. I have a feeling this is just the beginning for these Americans Who Got Talent. FOUR STARS

I went to see America’s Got Talent LIVE at Planet Hollywood in VEGAS and enjoyed it! I wasn’t even a big fan of the show but the performers were really good. My favorite act was the Recycled Percussion they really livened up the crowd. Jerry even had a few jokes that weren’t totally dry…lol. Overall I think the show was worth the time.

America's Got Talent has a little bit of something for every body. Audience members can watch America's favorite talents perform a variety of acts from comedy to singing to dancing. All of the talents were packed with energy and kept the audience lively. Host Jerry Springer added to the show with his witty sense of humor between acts. America's Got Talent is a crowd pleaser that will not disappoint.

America’s Got Talent Live is the stage show version of the hit television series starring this years million dollar winner, Kevin Skinner, as well as other favorites seen throughout the season. Essentially it is a Variety Show featuring music, dancing, jokes and more. Jerry Springer is the host of the show who spits out as many jokes as he can in the time that he is on stage. However, his jokes are mainly humorless and just stand in as a filler for the next act to get ready. That’s okay though, as people come to see the acts; not the host. The acts that were performing when I went were as follows: Lawrence Beamen (A R&B singer with an amazing voice), Hairo Torres (A dancer/contortionist), Barbara Padilla (An opera singer), The Texas Tenors (Country singers), Grandma Lee (A wise-cracking, joke telling grandma), Recycled Percussion (A musical group in the likes of “STOMP”), and Kevin Skinner (A country singer who took home the million dollar prize). All in all it was a pretty good show, but I must say that my two favorite acts were Recycled Percussion and Hairo Torres. Unfortunately, these two acts had the least amount of stage time out of them all. Hairo Torres is one of those dancers that make you wonder how he’s able to move the way that he does when he dances. I’ve seen contortionists and I’ve seen break dancing, but the way Hairo is able to combine the two in such a fluid act is amazing to me. And Recycled Percussion, what can I say about them? I had seen America’s Got Talent a handful of times when it was on TV, and I’ll admit – I was not a fan. But seeing them live was great! The energy they have when on stage and the music that they can make on Recycled material is highly entertaining. This is a family show that kids and adults could both enjoy. The theater is a nice sized showroom and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house.

The live show was just like it was on TV. It was great to see the amazing talent in person. It was a family friendly show and we all had a good time.
